Here is a very rough, unedited draft of the second book about Diver Down. It came about because of a rather negative comment on my first effort to convey the adventures of the sailing and diving vessel, Diver Down. The photo is one of the very first I ever took under water. The camera was a cheap Kodak that used 110 film. It was housed in one of the early model Ikelite cases. It worked, after a fashion, but after many years in storage and scanning on a cheap office scanner you just can't expect much. If you look carefully and exercise a bit of imagination, you might see the hand of a diver feeding a piece of fish to a Spotted Moray Eel. The photo was taken on the Palancar Reef near the island of Cozumel. |

![]() Understanding Microprocessors |
I taught this subject for six years at a vocational technical
institute. Since no text existed that met all the needs of my course, I
wrote this one. It is badly out of date now but a very easy read
considering the highly technical subject material -or- a fast way to
fall asleep at night. Available on Amazon.com |
![]() Understanding Local Area Networks |
I had to take a lot of networking classes in college so I used all
the course papers I had to turn in to write a book to help pay for
tuition. I actually made enough in royalties to pay a full year of
tuition at a private university. I also got the degree and the job I was
looking for with it. Sadly, the college wouldn't let me use my own book
for any classes citing, "Conflict of interest." In the end, that kind of
PC thinking convinced me to double my salary and start doing the work
instead of teaching it. Available on Amazon.com |
